  On December 26, the first phase of Taiyuan Metro Line 2 was officially put into operation. It is the first fully automatic driverless line of a stainless steel vehicle in China. The vehicle body, wheels and axles are all made of TISCO materials. Citizens living in Longcheng city can use this subway, and TISCO also contributed its own strength in constructing subway for local citizens.

  Taiyuan Metro Line 2 is a stainless steel vehicle with 6-car formation, which uses fully automatic driverless technology, representing the highest requirements and design and manufacturing level of domestic metro. The 301L stainless steel used in the car body is provided by TISCO. Compared with traditional aluminum alloy, it not only obtains the characteristic of higher corrosion resistance, weldability, safety and fire resistance, but also has the advantages of low operation and maintenance cost, less pollution, safety and reliability, and comfortable riding. In addition, vehicle axle steel requires high-demand safety and reliability, which needs to go through a variety of strict inspections. In comparison with ordinary materials, the wheel axle steel of Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., which is applied to the train of Taiyuan Metro Line 2, outperforms in high cleanliness and good safety performance.
