Selenium prices slide further despite reports for steady demand this past week. Prices are presently $24-26 per lb, compared to $25-28 per lb the week prior. Sources noted that activity rose substantially as buyers were reportedly looking to cover shorts. Should the renewed buying be sustained, prices could rebound in the near-term. Nevertheless, increases are likely to be restrained should Chinese demand remain weak.
