[Ferro-Alloys.com] Kyoei Steel, the largest rebar maker in Japan, has announced to hike its new rebar contract price by ¥2,000/MT. After adjustment, Kyoei Steel's new price for OD 16~25 mm SD 295 rebar will be ¥70,000/MT (about US$673/MT).
Kyoei Steel has surged its price by total ¥12,000/MT. Also, Nakayama steel said the company will join Kyoei's policy to lift its price by same level.
The dropping Japanese yen currency and the raising cost in scrap and power supply are the major reasons for Japanese rebar mills to hike their new price.
