Turkey’s Iron Ore Imports Jump by 44% Y-O-Y in July

According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the country’s iron ore imports totaled 790,900 tons in July, soaring by 44% year on year but falling by 5% from a month ago.
 
In July, Ukraine was the largest iron ore exporter to Turkey with 249,702 tons; Brazil was the second largest one with 170,878 tons and Canada was the third largest one with 161,104 tons.
 
In the first seven months of this year, the country’s iron ore imports amounted to 4.8 million tons, higher than 4.1 million tons in the same period of a year ago.
