Russia’s rolled steel product output totaled 38.6 million tons in the first eight months of this year, down by 2.5% year on year, according to data released by the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat).
In the given period of time, the country’s output of pig iron was at 33.5 million tons, down by 0.4%; that of iron ore was at 15 million tons, rising by 3.9% and that of steel pipes was at 6.8 million tons, increasing by 7.4%, all compared to the figures in the same period of 2012.
