Ukraine, one of the world's biggest producers of ferroalloy, cut output and exports of ferroalloy mostly due to weak prices on world markets, according to the Ukrainian association of ferroalloy producers UkrFA.

The armed conflict with Moscow-backed pro-Russian separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past 20 months has also contributed.

The conflict led to the shut down of the country's third-largest ferroalloy maker Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant, which is located in the Luhansk region.
