[Ferro-alloys.com] According to Brazil’s official gazette on September 14, the Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) opened its investigation of antidumping against seamless unalloyed carbon steel tubes from China.
The case was filed by petition of local steel tube maker Vallourec, who claims that the average price of this product in USA was USD 2,085.06 per ton while China sold it to Brazilian market by USD 1,013.97 per ton.
According to MDIC, the investigation targets imported tubes between April 2014 and March 2015. Currently Brazil has antidumping policies in place for imports of Ukrainian, Romanian and Chinese carbon steel tubes.
