[The ferro-alloys.com] According to Thailand trade statistics in July 2015, Thailand imports totaled 148,000 tons of scrap steel, an increase of 27.8% year on year, an increase of 123% month on month. 

Among them, United States as the largest supplier of total imported 71,000 tons,
an increase of 90 % year on year. Australia is second largest suppliers imported 28,000 tons, down 54.4% year on year. Hong Kong imported 14,000 tons, an increase of 103.4% year on year.

During January-July, Thailand imported a total of 648,000 tons of scrap steel, down 2.8% year on year, an average of 93,000 tons per month.
