[Ferro-Alloys.com]In recent period, Chinese imported manganese ore spot price continue to fall after further downtrend of future quotation of oversea miners. Australian Mn46 lumps dropped to RMB28.5-30/mtu at ports in China. As for Mn48 sand ore, the price declined to RMB27.5-28.5/mtu in China. South African Mn38 lumps edged down to RMB26-27/mtu while RMB30-31/mtu for Mn32%Fe20%. Meanwhile, Gabonese Mn 44lumps fell to RMB27.5-28.5/mtu at ports. Brazilian Mn 44% lumps pushed down to RMB 26-27 mtu in China.
This week, Eramet Comilog also slide April manganes ore shipment to China in the wake of BHP unveiling results. Mn43% Fe<5% Gabonese Mn43% Fe<5% sand ore lowered to USD2.9/mtu, Mn44-45% Fe<5% Gabonese lump ore edged down to USD3.2/mtu (CIF, China). It was obvious that imported manganese ore depressing performance of spot in China exerted subtle influence on future quotation of oversea miners, but downtrend future quotation also in turn brought about negative affect on Chinese spot market.
In addition, it is reported that China imported 941.4 thousand tons of manganese ore from preceding month 1.5 million tons, showing a sharp downturn according to dada conducted by Chinese Customs Statistics. In short, it is estimated that soften demand would lead imported manganese ore spot market in China to further slide in the near future.
