[Ferro-alloys.com]Since 2015, the LME Nickel price continued to go down. In Mar. of 2015, the nickel price fluctuated among USD14000/mt. Meanwhile, the medium and high FeNi price continued to decrease. In end of Mar., the purchase price of high FeNi declined to RMB1030/Ni (delivery price with tax by cash), down by RMB60/Ni than that of Jan..

Under the poor market condition of FeNi, the discontinued enterprises were reluctant to recover the production. Adding to the strict environmental inspection, the operation of ferronickel was low. Under this condition, the weak nickel ores demand made its price weakened. After two months steady period, the high grade nickel ores spot price declined by RMB10/wet mt as Ni1.8% was quoted at RMB560/wet mt on Mar.18^th. Meanwhile the medium grade nickel ores price declined more with Ni1.6% was offered at RMB410-420/wet mt, down by RMB60/wet mt than that of Jan.. Along with the over of rainy season in Philippines, the nickel ores futures condition was also not well. recently, the high grade nickel ores price decreased by USD1-2/wet mt while the medium grade Ni ores fell by USD3/wet mt as NI:1.5% Fe:25-30% was offered at USD38-39/wet mt(FOB), NI:1.6% Fe 20-25 was USD48-49/wet mt and Ni1.8% Fe12-18% was USD72-73/wet mt(FOB). If the high FeNi and stainless steel price last the weak trend, the future price might suffer the further decline.
