According to latest report, Tianyuan Manganese Industry invested about RMB 200 million (USD32.3 million) on purification technology and equipment. Industrial waste water could be purified to the standard of pure water. Through the waste water recycling system, all waste water could be recycled and none was let out.

The production of EMM created much waste residue as well as waste water. To consume the waste residue, RMB 1.5 billion (USD0.24 billion) was invested to build a cement project.
