Plants of three ferronickel producing companies in Ulanqab China, including Inner Mongolia Zhetai Mining Co., Ltd, were shut down at the beginning of 2014, because they failed to meet the environmental protection standard, which does not conform the development plan of this district. These three companies used to play an very important role in the local economic development. With annual capacity of 90,000 tonnes of ferronickel, their output value is 795.585 million RMB in 2013, accounting for 21.4% of the total industry output value.
