[Ferro-alloys.com] Electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD) is mainly used to produce dry battery. Electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMM) is closely related to EMD in production. They are both deep-processed products of Mn ore. To be exact, MnCO3 ore could be smelted to produce EMM or EMD. Their crafts are quite similar before the electrolytic process. Therefore, many enterprises produce the two products at the same time. For example, Xiangtan Electrochemical Scientific Ltd is the largest EMD manufacturer of the world.
