China's Iron Ore Import Volumes in 2014

According to statistics, China’s iron ore imports totaled 74.57 million tons in June, increasing by 19.7% or 12.27 million tons year on year.

According to statistic of China Customs, China totally imported 382.66 million tons of iron ore, up by 19% Y-O-Y through May, and import 77.38 million tons of iron ore in May, up by 12.9% Y-O-Y.

Iron ore exports to China from Australia's Port Hedland, which accounts for about a fifth of the globally traded market, rose by 3.5 percent in May, from April, to reach another record.
