This week, calcium silicon prices dropped in China.

[Ferro-Alloys.com] In early April, silicon metal products were still in tight supply. Meanwhile, the demand for high-grade Si products increased, which drove the quotations up, especially Si2202#.

Transaction of CaSi products was normal on spot market. Most orders were from old clients and the trading price was based on the mainstream quotation.

Tight supply of silicon metal products did not relieve last week. Considering the high power cost in dry season, some Si manufacturers had to delay the reworking plan in advance.
