[Fellow]Roundabout FeSi gets Extremely Scarce due to China-Vietnam Problem

[Ferro-alloys.com] Because of the price in China showing a sign of continuously becoming cheap, the price meant for Japan also was lowered by US$10 per ton from the end of April. The cross-border route along the sea coast was blocked due to the matter of territorial sea between China and Vietnam, which creates a glut of products in China which could not be distributed in Vietnam and pushes down the market price. This time's incident clearly shows the actual situation that the roundabout products via Vietnam were included in the China's demand and supply balance.

Chinese cheap products via the third country are detained in the prior stage to the border crossing as aforementioned, and the extremely scarce situation occurred in Japanese as well as South Korean markets. Due to scarcity of cheap products, the market price was pushed up by US$10 - US$20 per ton from the end of April.

As to Russian products, the thin trading continues during April and the price of Chinese products regularly exported continues to drop, which resulted in the fact both offer and contract prices were weakened by about US$10 per ton. While the situations in Ukraine became aggravated and the economic sanction against Russia became expanded, the focus now is on the final decision to be made by U.S. Department of Commerce on July 29.
