Australian Port of Newcastle’s Coal Exports Rise

According to data released by the Newcastle Port Corporation, the coal shipments made from the Port of Newcastle totaled 3.21 million tons in the week ended on October 21st, up by 0.6% from a week ago.
 
In the October 1st-21st period, the Port of Newcastle’s exports of thermal and coking coal amounted to 8.53 million tons.
 
Meanwhile, the larger exporters to ship coal from the Port of Newcastle are Anglo American, Peabody Energy, Rio Tinto and Xstrata.
