It’s reported that the mining giant Rio Tinto said that its iron ore output totaled 68.3 million tons in the third quarter of this year, up by 2% in comparison of the figures in the same period of 2012 and hitting a new quarterly high.
In the first nine months of this year, the company’s iron ore shipments totaled 186.6 million tons, rising by 4% year on year.
In the given period of time, Rio Tinto Australia’s hard coking coal output totaled 2.25 million tons, down by 6% year on year.
