Reportedly, the Indian state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) raised its domestic ore prices by INR100/ton for October due to the higher demand and rise of global ore price.
After the adjustment, its lump ore prices are at INR4,300/ton and the prices for fine ore are at INR2,610/ton.
NMDC also increases high quality lump ore price by about INR120/ton.
Since Oct., 2012, NMDC has decreased domestic lump ore prices by seven times, and three times for fine ore. This is the first time that NMDC increased the ore prices over the past one year.
