Australian Port of Newcastle’s Coal Exports Rise

It’s reported that the coal shipments made from the Australian Port of Newcastle’s totaled 2.9 million tons in the week ended on October 7th, rising by 12% from a week ago.
 
Meanwhile, the port authority estimated that the Port of Newcastle will ship 12.93 million tons for the whole of October.
 
The larger exporters to ship coal from the Port of Newcastle are Anglo American, Peabody Energy, Rio Tinto and Xstrata.
