PrintAccording to statistics released by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl), the country’s crude steel output totaled 3.6 million tons in September, rising by 1.4% year on year.
In the third quarter of this year, the country’s crude steel output totaled 10.2 million tons, falling by 3.3% year on year.
In the first eight months of this year, Germany’s output of hot rolled steel products totaled 24.4 million tons, down by 1.1% year on year.
Among them, 15.88 million tons were flat steel products, slumping by 2.6%; 8.5 million tons were long steel products, rising by 1.7%, both compared to the figures in the same period of 2012.
