According to statistics, the US’s exports of H1 scrap and shredded scraps totaled 364,000 tons and 387,000 tons in July respectively.
In the first seven months of this year, the country’s exports of H1 scraps amounted to 3.597 million tons, slumping by 23.2%; those of shredded scraps were at 3.975 million tons, falling by 15.9%, both compared to the figures in the same period of 2012.
In the given period of time, Turkey was the largest importer of the US H1 scraps with 1.508 million tons, decreasing by 25.9%; Taiwan was the second largest one with 626,000 tons, falling by 33.4% and Korea was the third largest one with 340,000 tons, slumping by 48.5%, all compared to those in the same period of a year ago.
