According to statistics, Japan’s exports of section steel products totaled 106,538 tons in July, rising by 16.5% from a month ago and soaring by 74.9% year on year.
Meanwhile, the export prices averaged at US$716.5/ton FOB, up by 1.4% month on month but falling by 9.2% year on year.
In July, Korea was the largest importer of the Japanese section steel products with 35,722 tons, decreasing by 7.6%; China was the second largest one with 17,574 tons, jumping by 4.1 times, both compared to the figures in the same period of a year ago.
