Korea’s Heavy Plate Sales Remain Sluggish in August

It’s reported that Korea’s heavy plate sales remained sluggish in August.
 
According to statistic, the three major heavy plate manufacturers in Korea produced 720,000 tons in August, decreasing by 12% year on year and falling by 0.6% from a month ago.
 
In August, the sales of heavy plates in domestic market totaled 520,000 tons, falling by 21.6% year on year and decreasing by 11.8% from July. The exports also dropped by 5.6% year on year to 150,000 tons.
