The Indian steelmaker JSW Steel said that its crude steel output totaled 985,000 tons in August, rising by 29% year on year.
In August, JSW Steel’s production of flat rolled products totaled 824,000 tons, soaring by 60%; that of long rolled products was at 128,000 tons, falling by 13%, both compared to the figures in the same month of 2012.
Meanwhile, the capacity utilization rate at JSW Steel's Vijayanagar works remained at 80% in August.
