[Ferro-Alloys.com] Copper prices on the London Metal Exchange were up during Asian morning trading on Monday September 16 as fears of a military strike in Syria eased following talks between the USA and Russia.
At 03:54 London time, three-month copper was up $7 per tonne from its opening to trade at $7,098 per tonne. The USA and Russia have asked Syria’s president Bashar al-Assad to account for the regime’s chemical weapons and agree on a plan to eliminate Syria’s stockpile of chemical arsenal by mid 2014.
