Australian Newcastle Port’s Coal Exports fall

According to data released by the Newcastle Port Corporation, the coal shipments from the Port of Newcastle totaled 2.37 million tons in the week ended on September 9th, falling by 30% from a week ago.
 
In the September 1st -9th period, the Port of Newcastle’s exports of thermal and coking coal totaled 2.86 million tons.
 
Meanwhile, the larger exporters to ship coals from the Port of Newcastle are Anglo American, Peabody Energy, Rio Tinto and Xstrata.
