According to statistics, Japan’s exports of cold rolled (CR) wide strips totaled 262,912 tons in July, rising by 9.3% from a month ago but falling by 4.7% year on year.
The export prices averaged at US$755.9/ton FOB in July, falling by 3% month on month and decreasing by 10.6% year on year.
In July, China was the largest importer of the Japanese CR wide strips with 75,881 tons, decreasing by 10.1% month on month and slumping by 10.3% year on year.
Meanwhile, Korea was the second largest one with 8,840 tons, soaring by 50.2% from June; the US was the third largest one with 1,071 tons, rising by 9.9% month on month.
