Mexico’s Long Product Consumption Drops 11% in June

According to the data from Mexico’s steel cnamber Canacero, the steel long products’ consumption in June dropped 11% from May to 543,254 tons.
 
The total long product consumption from January to June was 3.48 million tons, also falling by 5.5% from the same period in 2012.
 
Rebar is the main products in long products. Total shipments of rebar were about 217064 tons, dropping by 15% from 256,468 tons in May. The total rebar consumption was 1.42 million tons, down by 7.1% from the same period in 2012.
