Latin America’s Steel Product Imports Rise by 29% in H1

According to report of the Latin American steel association (Alacero), Latin America’s steel product imports from China totaled 1.5 million tons in the second quarter of this year, rising by 29% year on year.
 
In the given period of time, China’s exports of finished steel products to Latin America totaled 2.4 million tons.
 
Besides, the sales of finished steel products amounted to 33.10 million tons in the first half of this year, remaining flat from the same period of 2012.
