Korea’s trade balance showed a US$4.92 billion surplus in August, according to data released by the Export and Import Division of South Korea's Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MOTIE).
In August, Korea’s export values increased by 7.7% year on year to US$46.37 billion while the country’s import values fell by 0.8% year on year to US$41.45 billion.
Korea’s export values of basic steel totaled US$2.71 billion in August, decreasing by 5.9% year on year.
