Scrap Sales to India ‘Not Viable’ Due to Low Bid Prices

[Ferro-Alloys.com] Scrap sales to India have not been viable this week, owing to much lower bid prices than offers available, a scrap trader told us on Tuesday September 3.
 
Indian mills are bidding about $350 per tonne for containerised shredded scrap delivered to Nhava Sheva, while traders are offering $380 per tonne for the same material, according to the trader.
