Turkey’s steel imports totaled 7.2 million tons in the first half of this year, increasing by 28.7% year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD).
Meanwhile, the country’s steel import values totaled US$6.3 billion in the first half of this year, increasing by 13.8% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country’s steel exports totaled 10.2 million tons, rising by 0.2% year on year. However, the steel export values dropped by 4.3% to US$8.3 billion.
