[Ferro-Alloys.com] Chinese indium prices were stable this week as market participants disregarded rumours of a possible move to stockpile the material by the country’s State Reserve Board (SRB).
On Tuesday September 3, refined indium was trading at 4,500-4,550 ($760-738) per kg in China, unchanged from last week. Prices for crude indium were in the range of 4,100-4,250 per tonne, also unchanged over the same period, according to market participants. “There is a market rumor circulating that the SRB will start purchasing indium again, although there have been no further details given,” a source at a major smelter said.
