[Ferro-Alloy.com] The stainless steel alloy surcharges for domestic European grade-304 sheet and bar for September remained broadly flat on Wednesday August 28, while the charge for grade-316 sheet has fallen by more than €19 ($25) per tonne.
Data released by the major stainless producers this week showed the difference between the two grades, with market sources pointing to the weakening of the dollar against the euro as the main difference, as the percentage of nickel in grade-316 is higher.
