Manganese ore Manganese ore exports fell 46% year-on-year in June on decreased sales to China and Ukraine. Exports totalled 168,160 tonnes, from 311,587 tonnes in June 2012. Revenues in the month amounted to $22.05 million, against $39.36 million a year ago. Shipments were also down from May’s 255,193 tonnes. China accounted for 80,000 tonnes in June, from 168,923 tonnes in the same month last year. France accounted for 77,000 tonnes, from 79,510 tonnes in June 2012. Ukraine, another major buyer, reported no transactions last month, from 39,991 tonnes in June 2012.
