[Ferro-Alloys.com] Shanghai Futures Exchange copper price fell on Thursday July 18 following US Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke’s congressional testimony.

The most-traded November copper contract settled at 49,540 yuan ($8,026) per tonne, down 720 yuan from the last session. “Bernanke’s speech hinted that Fed would act in response to US economy recovery, while many were hoping the Fed would stick to its previous stance of keeping easing for a while.”
