Cobalt prices stayed strong. A consumer tender for high-grade cobalt in Europe reportedly was awarded at $14.60-14.70 per lb. Traders considered the results of the tender bullish, given that the consumer is usually able to buy at the bottom of the market. Several small consumer sales of 99.8% Co were booked at $15 per lb and slightly higher. The previous week, traders complained about receiving resistance to the $15 tag.
