[Ferro-alloys.com] Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA), signed a contract to supply iron ore for 20 years to Chinese company Xingxing Hanfang Mining Investment. Contract implies sale of 10 million MT per year (tpy) of iron concentrate from Minera del Norte, AHMSA’s subsidiary.
Minosa, part of Ahmsa, operates mines in Chihuahua, Durango, Jalisco, Colima, Guerrero, Coahuila and others in Mexico. So this agreement is for 10 years and can be extended to 10 more with Xingxing Cathay International Group. Operation is valued 1500 million dollars per year and it’s being negotiated these last 2 years.
