Turkey’s Steel Exports increase by 10.6% m-o-m in December

[Ferro-Alloys.com]According to statistics released by the Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association (CIB), Turkey’s steel exports totaled 1.6 million tons in December, increasing by 10.6% from a month ago.
 
In December, the Middle East was the largest importer of the Turkish steel with 695,000 tons; the EU was the second largest one with 218,000 tons and North Africa was the third largest one with 195,000 tons.
 
In 2012, Turkey’s total steel exports reached 19.9 million tons, rising by 9.6% year on year.
 
Meanwhile, Turkey’s export revenues generated by steel amounted to US$15.6 billion in 2012.
