[Ferro-Alloys.com] Reportedly, China’s State Reserves Bureau (SRB) has issued tender to local aluminum smelters for taking in 160,000 tons of primary aluminum, which is a part of a base metal stockpile program.
According to earlier report by Reuters, China’s influential state planner could buy around 400,000 tons of primary aluminum ingots and 165,000 tons of refined copper as state reserves.
The said volumes equal to about 8-day consumption of refined copper and 7-day primary aluminum, the stock of which are both over 1 million tons.
