[Ferro-Alloys.Com]Cobalt prices were slightly weaker only because there was so little business. There is a lot of hype about the Ambatovy cobalt coming into the market at bargain basement prices, but sources point out that it will take months for consumers to test and certify the cobalt. “No one is going to contract for this stuff sight unseen,” said a trader, “and I can’t see it having a market impact any time soon.” Prices for high-grade cobalt were off by 25¢ per lb at $13.00-13.50.
