[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to Spain’s steel association Unesid, Spanish steel industry produced 1.2 million tons ofcrude steel in September, falling by 12% year on year while soaring significantly by 23% from a month ago.

In 2011, Spain’s steel industry contributed 4.6% of the country’s GDP and produced 15.5 million tons of crude steel. Also, Spain is the third largest steel producer country in Europe.

Basically, the steel industry in Spain is export oriented, 55% of its production was shipped to other countries, equals to 3.9% of Spain’s whole exportation
