[Ferro-Alloys.com] It's reported that a division of China Nonferrous Mining Corporation has won projects to build USD832 million copper mine in Zambia. The project will add an annually 60,000 tons of copper production to the country.
According to NFC Africa that Zambia's environmental management agency has allowed NFC Africa Mining Corporation to proceed with its South East Ore Body Project which is about 400 kilometers northwest of Lusaka, and the construction work will begin this year.
It is known that the copper concentrate will be processed further at the Chinese owned Chambishi Copper Smelter or other smelters located on the Copperbelt.
