Oceanic Iron Ore Corp announces that the Hon Lawrence Cannon PC has resigned from the Board of Directors of the Company, effective May 10 2012 as he has accepted an appointment as Canada ambassador to France. Mr Cannon joined the Company's Board of Directors in 2011.

He has tremendous experience in government at both the Federal and Provincial levels and his counsel on how we should approach development of infrastructure, in particular for our Hopes Advance Bay project, has been invaluable.
