According to the data released by customs on Aug 22, the refined copper import volume of China in July was 194,280 tons. That is the highest number since January. Accumulative total import from January to July of 2011 is about 1.28million tons, decreasing 28.29% compared to the same period of last year.
Copper demand will rise in autumn after the tension supply of electricity getting alleviated. Copper stock in Shanghai Future Exchange showed first slide in six weeks, which was 112,014 tons.
