PrintIt is reported that Inner Mongolia-based Baotou Iron & Steel Co Ltd pays attention to developing high value added steel products for auto, household appliance, high rise building, heavy machinery and wind power sectors, sick for augmenting benefits from enlarging sales of the high end products in 2010.
Baogang once took the lead in developing duel-phase HR strip, which successfully helped the producer enter into the auto market. The producer plans to promote the sales of the product to over 10,000 tons in this year.
Baogang-made deep drawing steel features excellent moldability. The mill already sold 4100 tonnes of the products to household appliance and auto industries. According to the mill plan, the sales of deep drawing steel will reach 50,000 tonnes this year.
Inner Mongolia is China important coal mining, machine manufacturing and wind power base. Due to this, the province is also China important market for heavy plates. In the past years, Baogang churned out series of heavy plates for heavy machinery and wind power sectors. In 2010, the mill will further improve its competitiveness and scale up the sales quantity to over 130,000 tonnes.
