China's crude steel production rose 2.9% in October from a year earlier
Data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that in October 2024, China's crude steel production was 81.88 million tons, an increase of 2.9% year-on-year; Pig iron production was 70.26 million tons, up 1.4% year-on-year.
From January to October, China's crude steel production was 850.73 million tons, down 3.0% year-on-year; Pig iron production was 715.11 million tons, down 4.0% year-on-year.
