In the Sha'nan industrial zone in Shenqiu county, Zhoukou city, State Grid Zhoukou Power Supply Company recently conducted safety inspections on the electrical systems for Anyang Iron and Steel. They performed comprehensive inspections on the customer's 220-kilovolt substations, high-voltage transformer rooms, distribution lines and production workshops, assisting in promptly addressing safety hazards and providing suggestions for safe and energy-efficient electricity usage.

In 2018, Henan Anyang Iron and Steel was established and kicked off the construction of its plant. In May 2021, the company successfully ignited the blast furnace in the first phase, and by the end of June, the entire production line was fully operational. On June 18, 2023, the construction of the world's widest plate production line was launched at Anyang's Zhoukou base. This production line features a configuration of a 5.6-meter rough rolling mill and a 5.5-meter finishing mill, with the rough rolling mill being the only one in the world with a width exceeding 5.5 meters. Once the project is completed, the Zhoukou base will become a production base for automotive steel, wide plates, and new electromagnetic materials with an annual output of 10,000,000 metric tons.
