[Ferro-alloys.com]The US International Trade Commission will institute a five-year sunset review on silicon imports from Russia. Comments are due by Aug. 16. The last review was in 2008. The ITC will determine whether to conduct a full or expedited review. In the 2008 case, the sole Russian silicon producer chose not to ask for a review though Globe did. In the end, the ITC settled for an expedited review that resulted in the continuation of the duties. The original 2003 duties were: 77.51% for Bratsk Aluminium, 54.77% for Kremny/SUAL, and 77.51% for Russia-wide.
